2001年大会
第15回大会は、前日までの台風の影響で、空の便の欠航、鉄道、道路の冠水、陸路も寸断されるという悪条件下での開催となった。プロローグは千代台公園周回コース。ロードレースは函館市から北檜山町、今金町、岩内町、倶知安町から白鳥大橋を渡り室蘭市へ。そして登別市で登別温泉街を通過して札幌市藻岩山山頂にフィニッシュ。途中、岩内温泉周辺でのクリテリウム。最終ステージは、円山公園周回コースでのクリテリウム。
6ステージ、総走行距離は 816Km。

Tour de Hokkaido 2001 was held in southern and centaral Hokkaido.
Affected by the typhoon, the event had to start under the bad conditions,
such as the delays of transportation and the road damages by flood and landslide.
However, it ended sucessfully, thanks to the officials, participants and those who concerned.
The total distance was 816km in 6 stages.
