街のシンボルとなっている樹齢130年の「はるにれ」には2本の木が一体化した美しい姿が人気で多くの観光客が訪れます。季節によって姿を変える「はるにれ」。その姿で十勝の四季を感じることができます。
The 130-year-old “Harunire ” elm tree, the town symbol, is actually two trees merged together which gives its beautiful shape. It is very famous and many tourists visit to see it every year. Through the beautiful shape of the “Harunire”, you can feel the changing seasons of Tokachi.

昭和４４年、農道工事中に偶然発見されたナウマン象の化石。世界的な発見に盛り上がった当時の発掘の様子やナウマン象の生態などの資料を収めた記念館。

Mitsuishi Coastal Park Camping ground commands magnificent
views. It looks out on the Pacific Ocean and the Hidaka mountains. The Camping ground has bungalows and campsite facilities with adjacent
parking. You can enjoy sea bathing and many other beach play in the shallow water. The Camping ground is adjacent to Michi-no-Eki with restaurant, shops and rest room.
幅３６ｍ、直線で約７ｋｍおよぶビッグスケールは世界一。「桜名所１００選」、「日本の道１００選」など６つの勝を受賞したほか、昨年は「北海道遺産」にも認定されました。毎年５月には２０万人もの観桜客が訪れます。
200,000 people come to enjoy OHANAMI under the cherry trees, which line 7km in magnificent Cherry Blossom Avenue every May. It has won 6 prizes so far and is designated as Hokkaido Heritage last year, too.
